Last week, I was in Stockholm for a panel organized by Kim West ahead of a major exhibition on Peter Weiss and the Aesthetics of Resistance, which will open at Bonniers Konsthall on August 26th. The panel focused on questions of cultural organizing, and I presented a “walkthrough” of the essay I wrote for the catalog, titled “Contradiction as Form.” I also got to have a rummage through the treasure trove of Weissian archival materials that has been gathered at the Konsthall ahead of the exhibition—which will include such documents as well as a number of artworks, many of them newly commissioned.
