The January 2016 issue of e-flux journal (no. 69, for those who are keeping count) contains my essay “Neither Autocracy nor Automatism: Notes on Autonomy and the Aesthetic.” The text is based on the introduction to the Art & Autonomy reader I’m editing for Afterall, but the text has been reworked pretty significantly, and turned into an autonomous (geddit?) essay.
